What is EQwell?
EQwell is your personal wellness companion, provided to you as part of your employer’s benefits package. It’s here to support your overall well-being with personalized tools, resources, and guidance—meeting you where you are on your wellness journey.
Why did I receive an invitation from EQwell?
You received an invitation because your employer offers EQwell as part of their benefits. This gives you access to wellness resources designed to help you feel your best—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
How did EQwell get my email address?
Your employer provided your email address during the benefits enrollment process so you could receive access to EQwell and begin your wellness journey.
Is there a cost to use EQwell?
No. EQwell is completely free for you to use. It’s an employer-sponsored benefit, and there are no fees or hidden costs.
Can I sign up with my personal email address?
EQwell requires that you use your company email address, as this is how the program is launched through your employer, and the security settings will not recognize any other email. Rest assured—your personal information and activity within EQwell are never shared with your employer.
ACCOUNT & GETTING STARTED
How do I get started with EQwell?
Getting started is easy! Download the EQwell app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, create your account, and complete a short wellness survey. This survey is an important first step and allows EQwell to personalize your experience. It typically takes 5-10 minutes to complete.
Do I have to answer all the survey questions? I’m concerned about privacy.
Your answers are private and confidential and are used only to personalize your wellness journey. They are not shared with your employer. Therefore, all survey questions must be completed to move forward.
I’ve completed the survey. How do I choose my goals?
Once you finish the survey, EQwell will guide you to select up to three wellness goals based on your results. Simply click the “Set Goals” button at the top of the survey completion screen to get started.
How many goals can I choose?
You can choose up to three goals at a time to help keep your journey focused and achievable.
Can I change my goals?
Your selected goals remain in place for the first 90 days—this is called Journey 1. After 90 days, you’ll be prompted to retake the survey and can choose new goals if you’d like.
How do I navigate the EQwell platform?
EQwell is designed to be simple and intuitive. Use the dropdown menu in the upper-left corner of the app to explore content, resources, and tools tailored to your wellness needs. Feel free to click around and explore!
If I did not allow health data sharing when I first opened the app, can I add it later?
Yes. Open the Health app on your phone, select Sharing, choose Apps, select EQwell, and turn on the data you wish to share.
WELLNESS RESOURCES
What types of wellness resources does EQwell offer?
EQwell offers a wide variety of wellness resources, including articles, videos, workshops, and tools covering topics such as nutrition, fitness, mental health, and stress management. Visit the Resources section in the app to explore what’s available.
Can I connect with other EQwell users for support?
While direct interaction with other users isn’t available yet, building community is a priority for the future. In the meantime, many employers will be hosting friendly wellness contests to encourage participation, motivation, and accountability.
I have a specific wellness goal. Can EQwell help me?
Absolutely! EQwell creates personalized wellness plans tailored to your goals and preferences. Whether you’re working on fitness, stress management, nutrition, or a cessation plan, EQwell is here to support you every step of the way.
WORKPLACE WELLNESS CONTESTS
Do I have to participate in workplace wellness contests?
No. Participation is completely optional. These contests are designed to be fun, motivating, and supportive—not mandatory.
Will my coworkers know which goals I’ve chosen?
No. Your goals and personal wellness information remain private. Contests focus only on participation and engagement—not individual goals or health details.
What are the contest prizes?
Contest prizes are determined in conjunction with your employer and vary from contest to contest, so stay engaged and see what you can win!

How do I manage push notifications and SMS messages?
Push Notifications:
You can manage these through your phone’s settings:
Settings → Apps → EQwell → Notifications
SMS Messaging:
In the EQwell app, go to:
Menu → My Profile → Edit → Sign up for SMS (check or uncheck)
Can I use EQwell on both my computer and my phone?
EQwell is designed and optimized for mobile use for ease of access anytime, anywhere. You can access everything through the EQwell mobile app. Future releases may also support desktop use.
PRIVACY & SECURITY
Who can see my survey results?
Your survey results are confidential and can only be seen by you and EQwell. They are used solely to personalize your wellness experience.
Can my coworkers see my activity on EQwell?
No. Your activity and information are private and not visible to coworkers.
Will my employer have access to my EQwell account?
No. Employers do not have access to individual EQwell accounts or personal health information.
How does EQwell protect my privacy?
EQwell uses strict security and privacy measures to protect your data and ensure confidentiality at all times.
Is EQwell HIPAA compliant?
Yes. EQwell fully complies with HIPAA regulations to protect the privacy and security of your health information.
